Helen –
I had no idea that the words, “composite toe” meant a heavy industrial shoe, but that is what I received.
So, it will be returned.
Carin –
Forget that you were looking for a running shoe in this one- these aren’t made for that. But, these are comfortable for wearing at a more physically demanding work site. They are front-heavy because of the composite toe, but are well-balanced when worn. Great cool/cold weather shoe, as the toebox retains heat. I really like this shoe; just not for running.
Samia –
Its a more wider and felt biger..

The fit and size of these shoes are perfect. I have never worn composite toe shoes before. Feel slightly heavier to walk in them. Will take a little while to get used to that. ?They are comfortable enough to wear for over 10 hour shifts packing boxes.
Sarah –
Overall great shoe- Non slip resistant sole was nice. style was okay- Wish they had more feminine selection of work style shoes- but these have a little pink which was nice.
Josephine –
I am a size 6.5 and i ordered a 6.5 wide. These shoes feel clunky and heavy. They look great – the style is very nice but unfortunately my toes feel scrunched. My foot feels like I’m wearing a smaller sized shoe (like a 6). If i was to order the extra wide in my size, that may work but i will not be doing that because i honestly do not like how these shoes feel on my feet. There’s NO arch support. They’re stiff as a board. They’re not very flexible. I am on my feet for at least 4-5hrs a day on concrete and I need to be able to move fast and flex at least a lil bit w/ the variety of positions my job requires me to perform. They look thick on your feet as well.
I tried on the shoes my daughter ordered from here which were the Keen utility flint 2 carbon fiber toe, and though she is a size 9w, her shoes felt fantastic. They’re also 1oz less in weight then the NB 589’s are, which believe it or not, really makes a difference. The Keen’s also flex a helluva lot more then these NB’s do, plus the Keens have excellent arch support and felt a lot better on my feet and lighter. Really noticeable diff when i tried on her Keen’s. I didn’t feel like Frankenstein. I will be returning the NB’s for the Keen flint 2.
The NB 589 is a really attractive looking shoe but i need a shoe that is going to be good for my foot. I don’t really care what it looks like so long as it takes care of my feet.

I usually wear an 7 and 1/2 in shoes but it wasn’t available so I gotten a 7 double-wide and it fits very comfortable. I love the style and it not to heavy. I recommend to others.
Angelica –
It feels good, comfortable, looks bigger because Of the arch support, buy nice shoes after all.

I wear these at work for my 10 shift and I mostly just stand on my feet in this little cube. The shoes are good and my feet don’t hurt as bad as they did before in regular shoes. Sometimes my heels hurt, but like I said they don’t hurt nearly as bad as before, so they do good. I’m not sure any shoe wouldn’t hurt my feet after standing for 10 hours. The steel toe does make them bulky and I can see why people think they’re heavy. They do have some weight on them which I feel when I walk in them. I’m not sure how I would like them if I had to walk the whole time since they do have weight on them. But overall they are good, I got the extra wide width too because the steel toe takes up room in the toe section, so I’m very happy I got the extra wide width.

These shoes are extremely heavy and cumbersome especially when being on my feet all day like we are at Amazon. I’ve never been in so much pain with a pair of shoes in my life
Savina –
my toes hurt very bad .not at all comfortable .they are extremely heavy and painful .u can’t wear it for a 10 hour shift .
Judy –
Shoe was hard to walk in. Very ridged, inflexible.

I am finally pleased with a work shoe, wider toe box is what I needed. Style is cool, sturdy too. New Balance is never disappointment if a work or cross trainer purchase.
LA –
New Balance will never disappoint, for months issues with finding a all around comfortable work with a composite alongside a wide toe box. I have purchased 2 pairs and am so very appreciative this style was available. It is a heavier shoe but so be it, being on foot for over 10 hours a day, this style and wider toe box is a perfect, and I really mean a perfect fit.
Shannon –
I got a half size smaller cause they were out of 9.5 but they are perfect. I will need new insoles cause there’s not much arch support but overall I’m very satisfied!!! Also lighter than I thought they would be!

I just bought it and tried on for one day. It fits me.

Today I begin my new job and I will be wearing my new protective shoes. When I opened the box for the first time, I thought they were horrible looking because pink is not my favorite color. When I took them out of the box, I thought they were the heaviest shoes I have ever had. They are. However, after I tried them on, I loved the feel and the support.
Martha –
Loved the design and fit plus the having them extra wide was just perfect.

LOVE these shoes very comfortable after my long shift my legs and back dont hurt at all.
Anonymous –
I ordered these in extra wide for extra comfort because my right foot feels a bit more wider than my left, but these feel really good and light for a composite shoe.
Angélil –
These shoes are ginormous. I wear a women’s 10. These shoes are a women’s 10 medium. They’re too short and my big toe touches the very top. Yet, these Ronald McDonald shoes have an extra 2 inches on them. The insoles are comfortable on the feet. Neutral Arch. You can’t judge the insole by pressing with your hand. They are super heavy in your hands but not while walking.
Nene –
I’m 6’1 tall girl who wears a 11 W in girls but because it’s comp toe i had to get a 13 W. This is the most comfortable work shoe ever i work a 12 hr shift at amazon fulfillment center and this by most the best shoe i done ordered after returning the 6 other pair of different shoes?
