love the shoes they slate great, they hurt the side of my foo a little bit but other than that they are amazing

True to size, but very cramped toe box. Nice shoe otherwise.
Nomtou –
Nice flat skate shoe. Good design with nice color blocking.
Josh –
The shoes are super comfortable, skate well and I like how they look. They do run about a half size smaller than my experience with other size 10 shoes.

After dealing with two toes being amputated one on each foot in the last 3 years I was devastated, thinking I would never get back on a skateboard again. I started watching old skate videos recently and thought maybe I could ease back into rolling around again. Just walking has been tough for me and my balance is way off. I know this will take time and that’s fine. And with this new resurgence ignited inside myself to skate again I asked my sister if she would buy me a new subscription to Thrasher magazine, inside my 1st new issue i saw an ad for the Tiago 808’s …they blew me away at 1st sight!!! Totally took me back to 90’s style skateboarding…i had to get a pair. I did a little research on nbnumeric and a couple days later my sister loaned me some loot and pulled the trigger. While in route for delivery I was really wondering how my amputated feet would feel inside. Opening the box and see these 808’s in person put a new smile on myself, looking them over inside and out for a good 30 minutes before even lacing them up. I slid my busted feet inside, laced them and stood up. Butter…smooth like butter! I spent an hour or so just walking around the house just to get the feel of wearing a skate shoe again. The comfort level is high and plush in right spots. The sole has really impressed me. It’s is really grippy and has already helped me from stumbling while walking. I’m broke right now because I haven’t worked in 3 years but I can’t wait to buy a new set up to start skating again in these shoes! The 808 has an awesome look, comfort, and grip. Hopefully one day I’ll get a pair in black. Thank you for listening…

Every day wear and skateboarding, color is great and comfort is amazing as always.

Tiago at it again! Super comfy feet feel so protected when I wear this shoe or the 1010. Little stiff but not enough to effect the skating I skated them right out the box was juiced. Gave me a mark appleyard glove vibe been doing Nollie flips extra buttery lol. #newbalaneegang #nb4life

Great quality shoes and nice bulkier sole compared to most shoes. Great ankle protection. Nice and snug fit but does loosen as it’s broken in. Overall great shoe and best color way!

My boyfriend really likes em. Says they’re sturdy n goes w most outfits.

These kinda narrow out at the toes compared to his last model .great shoes tho

This is a well built, heavy shoe. It fits slightly narrow but still comfortable. The style is stunning and looks great with pants or shorts.

with the exception of the 550 all the ones i bought were too narrow.oo narrow

They start to loosen up after a few days of walking around. As with all NB skate shoes I went down a half size and these are tighter out of the box than the 1010. They don’t breathe as well as the 1010 with the mesh toe box either and are much stiffer.
I wouldn’t try skating these before breaking in. Decent board feel though for how much protection they offer. The grip is good as well. Overall happy with the purchase, hopefully they last awhile.

I love the way the shoes skate overall but they run way narrow and short just as the 1010’s do for me. My other complaint is that the collar of the 808 around the ankle is mesh and foam so if you do heelflip tricks a lot that mesh gets destroyed. I feel a mesh panel on the side with leather or suede aroun the entire collar would of been I more practical choice given the nature of what the shoe is used for(SKATEBOARDING)
I’m all for breathable shoes in general but I would much rather have durability over breathability when it comes to a skateshoe!!! Toe box construction is on point but they missed big time with the back half of the shoe along with sizing and overall fit.
Even with the negative aspects of the shoe
If they offered it in a wide it would probably be the only shoe I’d skate but I can’t sacrifice the longevity of my feet for shoes that are overly narrow!

most support out of any shoe I’ve skated ever. Fit small due to the extra padding in the toebox, had to 1/2 size up as I have a wide foot. Stability and grip on these shoes are INSANE.

This pair again the best proof of my personal shoe shopping mantra of “new balance or nothing”. Great looking, performing, cushioning yet supportive, foot-hugging: done so well it is beyond words.

I overreacted. I just needed to break them in and now they are very comfortable. I would not say they run narrow anymore. You really just have to break them in so, like everyone else, I thought they were real narrow and uncomfortable in the toe box, but after breaking them in the toe box feels so much better. I would still suggest you go half a size down if you like having a thumb’s width of space in the toe box because I think New Balances run large. These shoes are going to be uncomfortable at first on your toes, but stick with them and they’ll feel great.

Also, please give Tiago more shoes. The designs on his shoes are absolutely AMAZING. I love the all wheat 808s and the all brown 1010s. I’ll probably end up picking up another pair of 808s down the line because they just look so incredible. Keep up the great work New Balance

Amazing skate shoe. Don’t understand the complaints from other reviews, yes the shoe runs a little narrow but not enough to not wear them. For me the shoe fit tts and offers excellent support and cushion. New balance imo makes the best cupsole skate shoes and I definitely plan on buying more 808s in the future. Also I would walk around in these for about a week to get a nice break in on them, if you like maximum protection and shoes reminiscent of the late 90s and early 2000s you will most definitely like the Tiago Lemos 808

Great shoe

These shoes are very heavy

Love the sneaker and color a little to heavy for me I have bad knees. I still wore the sneaker with matching outfits.

Too small for my normal size 8. Seems like a nice 90’s style skate shoe but too small for me.
Pablo –
Thought they were going to be more comfortable but are pretty narrow in the upper part. I think it fits smaller than advertised. They are also heavier than other New Balance sneakers I’ve bought.
