Vans have always been too narrow for my feet. It’s awesome to have a few flat-bottom shoes for us wide-footed folk.

These shoes are probably designed to be unisex, which resulted in looking good for neither sex.

I bought these for my boyfriend. They fit him perfectly. I bought 2 different sizes to be sure and he chose the 9 1/2 rather than the 10. He’s usually a 9-9 1/2 so he said they were pretty sure to size and VERY comfortable 🙂 ??

My son has extra wide feet and these shoes fit great! I was almost to the point of having to look at custom shoes, but he says New Balance are very comfortable. We would buy them again.

Got these shoes for mountain biking and they work great. They’re very flat and don’t have arch support – which is what you need to get peddle grip. Love the style – make my feet look smaller. Wear a women’s 10 and they’re true to size, even being a mens/womens shoe. Good width for slightly wide feet.

There’s not much shock absorption, even with Spenco insoles! Not great for city streets!

These nikes were horrible. They seemed to knock offs of genuine nikes. The sizing was wrong and the materials seemed to be of low quality.

I normally wear a 10W. They were way to small. Traded for a 10.5W. Also too small, and too narrow. Gave up.

Don’t sleep on the 425s!

After wearing for about a month, the sole separated from the upper. Was good until then… but that is not very long for a shoe.

Like a cross between a stan smith and your dad’s trainers. And like your dad, they come across as unexpectedly stiff and squishy in weird places.
Zappos pitches the shoe’s mission as casual, but Numeric 425 doesn’t make for all that comfortable a casual shoe. It also doesn’t seem quite athletic enough for multi-sport use like the all-coast shoes it apes.
It hails from New Balance’s Numeric line of slate shows and it runs lean like a skate shoe — slightly narrow fit, minimal insole and cushion and grippy, flat board interface for control.
Shoes arrived with oiled soles. Whatever was on the soles, new in box from Zappos, left shiny New Balance Numeric 425 tread prints on my laminate flooring that don’t seem to buff or clean out.
I’m annoyed when I catch sight of those shiny shoe prints.
Construction is fine — stitched synthetics and glued sole look neat and orderly and are standard across the shoe’s consumer segment. Uppers are unfinished where they become the shoe throat which can look cheap or like a high-end weight-saving feature, depending on your relationship with shoes and money.
Materials standard at this price point, which is pretty low. New Balance offers very little supply chain transparency, so I’m assuming laborers have to suffer somewhere to bring kicks this inexpensive to U.S. shores.
Lines are clean, color ways are sharp. White with green soles and matching backstay is p classy-looking.
Okay shoe but 2.5/5 don’t recommend.

I am so impressed with these sneakers! They are very comfortable and stylish. I will officially break them in this week when I play pickleball. ?

Pure color, comfortable and stylish. I can easily stand in them all day at work.

I love how these look and feel, but they tore in three places after wearing them once. Not very well made.

It’s near impossible to find a fitness (or any) shoe to fit my high arch and narrow foot. These NB fit, and have an elastic gore on the instep, both sides. You can’t tell it’s there, it’s comfy, but I think it snugs your foot do it doesn’t shift.
Now for style. Who can’t use navy shoes? And they are cute, no crazy thick soles or gimmicky zipper.
I’d call it classic. It won’t go out of style.
Going to buy a second pair, just for a spare-that’s how much I like these.
Classic, comfy and quality. It doesn’t hurt the price is great too!

These are New Balances answer to the Adidas Samba, I absolutely love the way these shoes look and feel!

Show is great for school and going out on weekends. They are simple, yet comfortable.

Not sure why these shoes would receive any hate. I haven’t skated in a couple years and picked these up today at my local shop and literally no break in period felt great right away. I wear wide also.

Comfortable shoes, and they’ve held up quite well!

feels very nice

The sneakers are a little bit stiff and I will need to bend them a bit by hand to at least start to break them in. But they are comfortable to wear, with medium arch support. I have developed arthritis in my foot, right under the toes, and most sneakers bend right where the pain is. These have a generous toe box and don’t hurt. This will be my third pair of New Balance sneakers. I trust the New Balance name. I like that they have a classic look similar to a tennis sneaker.

Look great and feel even greater!
