I love this shoe! Actually wide enough for my feet, well built and comfortable. And it looks good. Maybe I should buy 10 pairs before New Balance changes their line up?

My husband has severe problems with his feet and is awaiting his second foot surgery. He wears specially molded inserts. These are the shoes his orthopedic surgeon recommends. (Well, New Balance in general, but we’ve found the ones with mesh sides don’t give him enough support.) I just hope they’re never discontinued, because they’ve kept him going for 6 or 7 years now, and when they were temporarily available we never found a substitute. We try to keep at least one new pair in the closet.

I need a 6E supportive shoe with anti roll features. The 57 series is the only I’ve found that fits the bill. I hope they never take it off the market, or change it . If I wear shoes other than the 857, my feet, ankles and shins hurt by the end of the day.

New Balance B widths are far too wide. They are the same width as everyone else’s D width. The toe box is very wide and tall. These are not for people with narrow feet.

I’ve been wearing the New Balance 608 for sometime to work out and decided to try something new. I like the amount of support this gives in the heel vs the 608.
