Son says they are comfortable. There’s some room to grow into them, but not so much he can’t start wearing them now. We are happy with this purchase.

The upper part of the shoe is a pale lavender color – even prettier than in the online photos where it looks a bit grey to me.

I’m not sure if we got a defective pair or if this is common, but these really hurt my son’s feet after he wore them for a day. It was the right size length wise and width wise, but the top stitching area was really bothering him and caused some rubbing / blisters. Thankfully Zappos handled the refund really easily even though he’d worn them for a day, but I’d definitely recommend having your kiddo wear them around the house a good amount before deciding if they’re right in case this is a more widespread issue. We’ve never had this with other New Balances or other sneakers.

These shoes are super cute, but unfortunately the wide width wasn’t really wide. My daughter is bummed.. we’re exchanging for another pair of NB running sneakers, and hopefully have better luck with the XW.

My 4.5 year old usually wears regular width NB shoes, but for some reason this particular model of Arishi runs narrow. We went with a wide fit and they are perfect.

Fit great- it’s a relatively narrow shoe but not a problem, feels supportive. The shoe is very light weight, which is awesome! And the Velcro is strong. All around win.
