My teen daughter is a dedicated runner and I buy her a new pair of these every 3-4 months. No injuries, light, neutral, and she loves them!
Alli –
Really wanted to love these. I’ve been waiting for a new FUELCELL from them but these just weren’t it. I went for a few 5 mile treadmill runs in them and it felt like my heel was falling off, never had an issues with neutral stability shoes before so I felt like this was a shoe issue. Had to send them back, super bummed. I run 25-30 miles a week so this issue just wasn’t gonna be manageable.

Too small, and the wide was not wide at all. They need to make 11.5 shoes for women and they don’t. That is why I have to return these shoes. No foot support at all, the inner foot leans into the arch where there is no support to uphold the foot. Have to return these.
Margaret –
Finally found the perfect shoe for width and style. Very comfortable to walk in.
Nan –
First run and they felt pretty great with no breaking in period. I am always sad when the shoes I feel are perfect are OF COURSE no longer made or sold but these are the next generation of the same shoe I was wearing and they seem to be very similar. The arch support feels a little less solid and the heel feels a bit higher in the new version. More time will tell. I have a very small heel but a medium width foot FYI and some new balance shoes fit me. Most other brands I experience ‘heel slip’ when I run and have to bandage my heel to avoid the inevitable painful blisters. So if you have the heel slip problem these may fit the bill. I also look for the lightest shoe I can find. These are pretty light but maybe a tiny bit heavier than the previous iteration.

These were excellent right out of the box. NB brand has been my go to running show for years now. This one is light, provides adequate support for my higher arches and has a narrow enough heel not to slip. New balance is one of the only brands that fits my narrow heel but regular width toe and mid foot. The rebel previous edition seemed a little better overall with a less built up cushioning on the heel which I personally preferred. I’ve been running in these about a week now and considering going for a second pair to rotate and also because every time I have to purchase a new shoe they’ve already discontinued the previous version. I HATE THAT! Why???

I ordered the 7.5 medium and they were short and narrow. My usual shoe size is either 7 or 7.5. Also, the tongue was too floppy and went into the shoe when I put my foot in, which is really irritating to have to fish out. The tongue really needs to be stiffer.

Too much cushion!! Felt like I was wearing springs on my feet.
Ms. –
The shoes were very narrow, I ordered NB for years and never had problems with the wide width. These were too small and did not feel good.

Felt very small which is too bad since I liked the look. Recommend sizing up 1/2 or full size.

The shoe was very tight for a wide width shoe.

My daughter who does cross country and track uses these for her daily training shoes- she is now on her third pair and loves them. They are a good neutral shoe for younger runners. She burns through a pair every 3 months, but that seems to be the story for any running shoes with the number of miles she is putting on them. She wears a 7.5 in regular tennis shoes but I get an 8 in these and it works well.
Kathleen –
I ordered this shoe in an 8 wide and it is does not fir like a normal New Balance 8W. the tongue and heel on the shoe make it very difficult to get on.
Ginelle –
I wanted something bright and these are awesome! Love the color! I ordered the wide width and they fit great! Just an FYI – the tongue of the shoe is really thin and flimsy but other than that, the fit was great.

Heel is not as elevated as much as prior shoes I’ve ordered.

Great shoes. Fit, sizing and feel are perfect

too small and no support on heal. Heal so squishy.
