Having wide feet I’m extremely limited on options for good Ultra distance kicks. Only NB and Saucony (Peregrine 12s) have shoes wide enough for me. I tried the new Hoka speedgoat 5s but sent them back for the sightly wider v7 after getting blisters (even though it started as the most comfortable ride ever..). The v7 is much lighter than the v6 even with Gore-tex, also doesn’t seem like it will get weighed down with water like the v6 did and certainly sheds water quickly with the Gore-tex. Although the v6 is more comfortable, I think NB absolutely made the right move removing some cushion and weight. The v7 feels more like a comfortable Saucony Peregrine 12 which is absolutely perfect for me. All in all, my new go to trail shoe and easily seen from outer space

Excellent shoe. Fits great. Perfect support and very comfortable.

The hierro line is my favorite. Super comfortable. Lots of cushioning. Good traction.
NewdBalance –
Used it on a dry grouse Grind 3 times

Ok, I’ve been a NB guy for a hot min. These are the bacon of the shoe world…..Dee-Lee-Chous! I’m a 15-16 toe box is solid…..10 outta 10!

Absolutely love these shoes. They stay dry, feel smooth, and fit like they should. Would buy again.

Awesome shoes. I didn’t understand the difference between Trail and Road shoes until after I start running in them, but I gotta say they are super comfortable on and off the road. Great color as well.

Good looking, waterproof comfortable.

I ordered my first pair several months ago. I wear them for walking and running with my dog on trails and in wet grass. They do keep my feet dry. They are comfortable, we’ll made and solid. Should also be good in the slush or snow. I’m writing this review because I just bought a second pair in case I can’t get these in the future, which could be with my difficult size, 11.5, 2E.
Nandor –
The wide is a great fit. The shoe is great for running or walking. Is water resistant and looks really sharp. I get a lot of comments about it.

I run in 1080s in a size 14 which is usually a bit big but I have orthotics that help fill the space.
It’s a bit tight for me with the Hierro’s with the orthotics in the toe box and got a blister on the side of my foot near the big toe.
Could be that they run narrow. I’d say these feel more like a 13.5 (which isn’t a size made). So maybe get a wider size or size up. I can’t size up because it’s a jum to a 15 which would be giant.
Also I bought the Eclipse color way. They are bluer (lighter blue) than I expected compared to the photos online.
Great L –
I purchased this shoe as a winter running shoe. The traction has been outstanding on snow covered roads – from firmly packed to 4 inches of power. They keep my feet dry and warm – which is exactly what I was looking for. To improve the shoe I would include an internal stretch fabric on either side of the tongue to improve midfoot fit and improve the weatherproofness. Also, the inside of the upper fabric need a thin brushed layer – something softer.
Bob –
My go-to biking shoe. And, took them on a hike today, serious shakedown. Great traction and did OK on the downhill. I’d probably buy again.
Solomon –
I don’t like using the title as it gets overused in reviews. However, not only do these comfortably fit my size 16 2E wide feet comfortably. But they are well insulated and are cozy in any sock even in snow deeper than they are.
The added heel length and design of the sole don’t slip on ice or snow and Im impressed.
I’d love to order 16 pairs to last me for life but… can’t afford it.

Great

These great-looking shoes fit like a glove. They go especially well with blue jeans.
Jim –
These are comparable to another pair of new balance that I recently purchased, very comparable, color is bright and would definitely buy again

Wanted a waterproof lightweight running/hiking sneaker for a 10 2E foot but very limited offerings. Found and got this shoe – good fit, reasonable cushioning, nice styling. Enjoying it

Great shoe! I love the Gore-Tex because it keeps my feet dry.
John –
I have been a long time New Balance fan of the terrain/trail models and this fits the bill.
Joe –
I ordered a wide and these fit nice. They are great for keeping me dry, in the first first two weeks of owing them no snow or rain have gotten through the Gortex. Gripping is great too. Shoes are not as comfortable as Hokas, but for a snow and rain hiking shoe I will take it!
Przemek –
Comfortable, grippy, plenty of cushion to add comfort but not sacrifice stability. Running on a muddy trail, my feet remained dry. Very happy with purchase.

Fell apart after 9 months

Great hiking shoe! Waterproof, lightweight and great traction. I am a Hoka guy, but love New Balance too, as long as the N is not too large.
