Russell –
Nice shoes, just hope the construction holds up to what most new balance I’ve purchased in the past hold up to

The look and feel are amazing, quality right on point.

I loved everything about these, but they have to be the narrowest New Balance shoes ever made. It’s hard to find size 17 in a wide size, and normally their EE fits perfectly, but these fit very small and narrow. If you need wide shoes, the EE probably aren’t going to cut it. Very disappointed these had to go back.

GREAT LOOK BUT ARCH IS AWKWARD AND SIZING IS INCONSISTENT

Narrow toe box made these boots unwearable.

I loved the shoes when I first got them, but now 6 ½ months later, the shoes are uncomfortable and the support seems to have broken down. I contacted Zappos and they (Stacey-Ann) said there is nothing they can do about it. Oh well….so much for New Balance and Zappos.

Shoes are great at first but then 6 ½ months support seems to have broken down and shoes are unwearable. Zappos “365” guarantee is non-existent as after contacted customer support (Stacey-Ann), they told me there was nothing they could do. I have worn Hierros for a while and am very disappointed in this.

Not very comfortable, feel too narrow for a wide size. My biggest problem are the laces. The shoe has seven pairs of eyelets. According to a chart on the new balance site, the laces should be at most 45 inches long. But the laces provided are 65 inches long! They’re a tripping hazard and constantly come untied. These shoes are practically unusable with these laces. On the plus side, they are lightweight and bouncy.

Stepping in these feels “squishy” underfoot. They’re supposed to be some kind of cross between hikers and sneakers, but they do neither well. They don’t lace up snugly against the foot without a lot of force, which is OK for a hiking boot, but then they have minimal padding like a sneaker so they end up not getting good contact and your foot moves around. They’re about half a size shorter than the advertised size. And I don’t understand why all these shoes come with a flap on the back, wtf is that supposed to do other than kick water up on your pants?
