I find the Fresh Foam X Lav V2s very comfortable on the sprung boards of the squash courts at my club. With my custom orthotics, they provide support but feel light and cushioning. They are easier to put on than the earlier model I use for tennis.

This tennis shoe is hands down the best shoe I’ve ever had for playing tennis. It’s. cushioning, toe box room, arch support, and flexibility are top notch. The way the tongue is attached in the middle adds to the secure feeling when it is laced up. Way to go New Balance.

I play lots of tennis, and platform tennis as well as coach. These are comfortable, lightweight but supportive of all motion. The width option of the “wide” helps me with my neuroma.
The style of this model even help the white ones (the blue/purple out of stock) not look like big floating pillows.

Most durable shoe I’ve worn. More so than gel res, and would compare fit and stability to diadoras Blushield AG but not as flat. Well cushioned and supportive and not clunky. Comparatively decent room in the toe box (more so than most these days). I’ve worn them 6-8 hours (competitive 3.5/4 play) a week for about five months. Shocked they’ve held up as I usually fly through shoes.

I love the feel of these shoes! I liked the first version, but the change to a real tongue took it to the next version. They are also enduring. I play a lot, and these held up for 5.5 months. I love New Balance tennis shoes and these are the best I’ve experienced yet.

I have a wide forefoot, and this is my favorite tennis shoe. Great cushioning and support. This shoe does take a little break in time, but it’s worth it because it keeps it’s shape and support for the life of the shoe. This is my 4th pair of this model, I hope New Balance makes no changes except colors.!

Finally I found a tennis shoe that I enjoy playing tennis with! So flexible, and I love the cushion. I can take big steps when running for the ball and the last step is the biggest and this cushion helps this happen. Before I had foot pain because of my possible plantar fasciitis!

Fencing requires a high dynamic range of motions, from carefully slow to lightning fast, which puts extreme demands on a shoe in terms of support, agility and cushioning at the same time. Few manufacturers make shoes that are designed specifically for fencing. I typically start my search looking for tennis shoes, so this is how I found this one. The moment I tried it I realized immediately that this is a fantastic fencing shoe! It has all the characteristics I have been looking for. Hint for New Balance: have you considered rebranding this model for the fencing community? There are plenty of world class professional fencers in the Boston area you could partner with!

I used to play tennis and then injured my knee and never went back. Just recently picked up Pickleball and needed some new shoes. (After tennis, my old New Balance tennis shoes had been relegated to yard work and were not fit for competition.) Got the new Fresh Foam X Lav V2 and I am loving them. They were court ready right out of the box, extremely comfortable and allowed for great movement in any direction. [As mobile as I can be at 70.] Love them for the width and foam comfort.
