Color description is not even close. They are not black/grey matter. They are grey and very light black. Color was key for this purchase and it did not meet the need.

Everything about the shoes are just what I wanted except one. The size and width were the most important and they are just right. The color was the only thing I am a little let down about. The description was Black/Grey Matter. Maybe you should say Charcoal/Grey Matter. The color is not exactly black but more of a charcoal. The first pair you sent me was grey and these are darker, just not black.

I now wear a size 15 4E, and shoes that fit and look good are not easy to find, especially for a reasonable price. These shoes are extremely comfortable, the materials are good-looking and appear to be durable, and they are great for walking long distances. Only at Zappos fcould I find the xcombination of fit, style and economy. Thank you , Zappos!

I have bought this model 510 several times. These new ones are shoddy by comparison. My heel slips out and the sole inside is very uncomfortable.

Version 6 if definitely a downgrade from 5. The overall product seems a lot cheaper, yes I know they’re a value shoe, but every other version was comfortable and pretty durable. These are a smaller fit, even though same size/width, and the material seems more like plastic instead of mesh, rubber, etc.

SHoe was nice looked ok but when I tried it on it had a weird feeling on the right side of shoe that was just annoying like it was buckling / bending strangely and with every step so I am going to return it and find the correct shoe from NB – I love their shoes and wear them exclusively sometimes they stop making them and then it is a challenge to find new models but Zappos has the largest size selection anywhere – so Ill try again

I’ve been ordering New Balance in this series for years. These are much narrower than their standard size (even though it is marked Medium). The length is fine. I can’t wear them – the right foot is much too narrow in the toe area.

Felt large, so returned for half-size smaller. FYI, there’s a weird petroleum like smell when these first come out of the box. It does dissapate but it’s offputting.

Purchased for husband who said from first time walking in them “felt like walking on pillows of air” even when taking stairs. Fit his wide, larger size flat feet very well and toe box left plenty of room too.

I have had good luck with New Balance in the past. These however are narrow and the heel box is too shallow feeling like my foot is going to come out of the back of the shoe. I hoped after wearing them for the week they would improve but that is not the case.

These shoe have an uncomfortable mid sole down the middle of the heel area that is narrower than my foot. this makes my foot feel wobbly side to side. I had bought the 510’s before when they were labeled All Terrain. They had great comfort and the midsole “cupped” the foot securely. They also used to have a nice aggressive sole that had great traction. this new sole is not up to the previous model. I used to depend on New Balance for the right fit and quality. But every year they change the shoe model, and not for the better. In general New Balance has cheapened their quality. Hey New Balance, If you make a good shoe, and it sells well. Leave the design alone.
