I love the way these look but the sneaker is very deep at the heel so the back comes up too high for my foot. Unfortunately, they have to be returned.

The corresponding women’s sizes are a bit off. I have an older pair of 574’s in a women’s 8.5. The men’s 6.5 fit much better.

I have a wide toe box and narowish heel and these shoes fit great – I wore them for 8 hours right out of the box with no problems.

In the spring I bought a pair of 574 shoes that I wore daily for a walking-intensive summer (350 miles, according to my watch). I loved them, but wanted a more universal color. I ordered the pink, which look lovely at first glance… until I put them on. They are significantly shorter and narrower through the toe box than the red pair. I now see that my beloved pair was U574v2 while these are U574v1. There’s no explanation for why they’re different, but they definitely are. I’m debating whether to go for another of the v2 pairs or if I should reorder these a full size larger.

I’m really disappointed because the website said it runs small and to order a half size up, but that wasn’t the case, these fit true to size and so the pair I ordered was too big and now my true size is out of stock.

I am between sizes. The 10.5 (my usual size) was a hair small—I don’t like to feel my toes against the front of the shoe. The 11 is a little too long for my right foot, but I may keep anyway. They are exactly what I was looking for—comfortable, not bulky like regular athletic shoes, and cute! Green is great.

Great looking comfortable shoe but I had to go a full size larger. I am usually a 9 — bought the 9 and exchanged it for the 9.5 — then exchanged that for the 10!

I can always rely on New Balance to fit and be comfortable. But I was a bit surprised at these. The tongues are made of foam with a paper like cover glued on both sides. Dont think it is paper, but feels like it. My first reaction was not good. Foam rubber does not breath, will they be hot in the summer? But, put them on anyway to see about the fit. My orthodics fit in comfortably and they felt find. Took them on a hike yesterday and they were great. So, they are keepers. I will just have to see how they are in the warmer weather.

I love this sneaker, but it does run small. I’m a woman size 10, but after reading the reviews stating that they run small, I ordered a 10.5, and I’m glad I did! It fits perfectly, so size up!!

Tight in the toes. New Balance usually fit perfectly, but not these. Thin and flimsy insole with no cushioning, and no arch support, and just overall a very stiff shoe. Was disappointed because orange is my favorite color and the styling looks great, but I’ll try and give them away. Too expensive for the quality.

I have 8 pairs of 574s and have been wanting true orange. I bought the orange, but these are not true orange—not like the pictures. The mesh is orange but the suede is more like salmon pink. Also, the foam lining in the tongue is exposed and the suede around the heel is distressed (which are pictured if you look closely but I missed it). They might grow on me, but they weren’t what I was expecting.

I had a similar pair of NB that i wore out. I wore them for urban walking, all-day on my feet; i wouldn’t wear them hiking. I was happy with the retro look, comfort, and relatively light weight, so i ordered an almost identical pair in a different color. The color is definitely pink, as pictured on the website, NOT brown, as mysteriously labeled. That was what i wanted, so that was fine.

It’s a little smaller than expected so I would recommend going 1/2 size up. The fit is good though, super comfortable.
