I’ve been wearing earlier versions of this sneaker for years because they fit well and look nice, and stand up to high mileage. So far the transition to this new pair has been seamless. Same great look and fit!

Unisex sizing doesn’t work on this product. Women’s feet are not as bulky and thick as men’s feet and this model is designed for men. Bring back 990V5.

Overall, terrific shoes. Lightweight, comfortable & somewhat cushiony, they seem well made (yay USA). IMHO, these shoes are slightly roomy, compared to other NB shoes that I have owned. One note, the instep took some breaking in before it was ready to be worn every day.
Also, could you make a version that looks like this but with a white soul?
I will probably buy again when needed as long as NB doesn’t change the model too much (like they do on so many other styles!).

This rating is for the 990 V6 in Triple Black. Huge disappointment. I’ve been buying 990’s since the 1990’s and this is my third pair of 990 V6’s. Unfortunately, they do not don’t fit like previous pairs (much larger in shoes marked the same size) and not nearly as comfortable as previous pairs. They do not have close to as much cushioning which is something I really need due to injury.
I was very excited to have the all black option. It never occurred to me that they would not be comparable to a pair of 990 V6’s that I bought last year. In the past New Balance could be counted on for consistency. Not any more, I guess.

I recently bought 2 pairs of NB 990v6 shoes from Zappos. I’ve been buying shoes this way for 20 years. These will be the last 990s I’ll buy. Where did the supportive cushioning go? Where the anti-roll feature? To me it’s worth the extra cost to support our US industry and US workers, but I won’t buy these anymore. Could someone please recommend to me a GOOD substitute for NB walking shoes? A VIP Zappos shopper.

I have to agree with other reviewers. The toe box is too narrow and the fit felt awkward, like I was wearing the right shoe on the left foot and visa versa. Sad because they look great. Wish the insole was more solid too. It feels like memory foam.

Shoe started to squeak wherever I walk. Can’t even return it because it’s worn. Would not recommend.
I had the previous generation v5 & those were made beautifully. Will probably look for those.

The Fit was snug . Inside seams Instep forward could be felt while wearing with light socks . The cushion effect of the inside sole was a sloppy feel. Felt like i was walking on two pillows .
