My son got these shoes 10 days ago and doesn’t wear them daily and they are already tearing at the seems at the toes

Shoe fit true to size and makes for a great chill shoe. This is NOT a skate shoe within new balances numeric line, and will deteriorate faster due to being a basketball shoe. Some choose to skate them but if you do know that it wasn’t built for the abuse of grip tape so you’re forewarned. Otherwise the 480 is an excellent off the board, casual walk around shoe. Also a great alternative to the, impossible to get for normal people, Nike dunks.

Love these as an alternative to the black and white Nike Dunks! I went half a size up due to my wider foot, and they are great! I also found that loosening the laces really helped with the overall comfort and kept the shoe from pinching the tops of my feet when walking. Highly recommend!

Something about the side/middle of the shoe hit my foot just wrong. It hurt to put my foot in it, yet when I did manage, the shoe slipped significantly in the heel even though I’d used the extra hole at the opening of the in the hope of tightening it. Beautiful shoe, but not comfortable like the NB 608. Bummer. I was hoping for something good-looking.

Cool looking sneakers, but has a *very* narrow width waist. I’ve never worn wide-width shoes, so I don’t consider myself to have “wide” feet, but when I tried these on I could feel it pinching the middle of my feet (on the outside edge). This is despite the fact there is a full inch of space in the toebox length. I’ve bought New Balance’s Numeric skateboarding line of shoes in the past, and never had this issue, so it must be a result of this particular shoe’s footbed design.

I wear a size 9 in New Balance running shoes and they are very roomy. This size 9D was very tight in the toe box and felt much narrower.

Very uncomfortable, dug into my toes everytime I took a step. Something about the material was very stiff and would’ve definitely caused blisters if I kept wearing them. There was also no arch support.
