Fits true to size. Comfortable. This model is more sturdy than the older 997 models, with a reshaped outsole. I’d recommend this to anyone who likes neutral colors.

I’ve had to return shoes for sizing all summer-usually wear US 8-8.5, Eu 38 for years. This year, I thought vanity sizing happened-my best fit was 7.5 = 38. Ordered these in 7.5, they were too short, too tight, despite the unisex sizing at D width. I don’t think the width is a true D like men’s. I have always loved the NB classic. This style is awesome, looks better than the photo, looks more worth the money than some of these others at similar price. Going to try again, size larger, but they should have a wider toe box.

These are great if you have a narrow foot, which I do. If I can find cute shoes that come in narrows (which is getting more difficult these days) I wear an 8.5N. The 8.5 medium in these shoes fit perfectly.

My normal size in New Balance is 10 and these fit perfectly. Very comfortable, also.

Shoes have good cushion to them. They rub a little on my ankles, but a little piece of Moleskin solves the problem.

They’re good, but they run small, about a half size. They feel short and narrow – and I have narrow feet to begin with.

I had to return as these were too narrow for my foot, which is surprising as my foot is fairly narrow anyway. I went to a NB store locally and bought 997H in my size that fit perfectly.

I have another pair of this same shoe in a different color. I liked them so much that I ordered this pair. Very comfortable, but this pair had a little more toe and foot room than the other pair. However, they still fit ok.

Excellent comfort, cushion, and support for a casual shoe. They are actually the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned, besides very expensive running shoes. They also fit the same as any other classic New Balance shoe.

I wish New Balance could harmonize their shoe size across models. I’m a true 8.5 but this one felt more like 8.25. Just tad too tight to feel comfortable. Put in an exchange order for 9. I would order half size larger if you are even 0.1 over 8.5

New Balance shoes are all over the place with sizing. Don’t expect the same size from two different models. These were a bit stiff and narrow towards the front. I’m a true 8.5 but had to exchange for a 9 while the 8.5 974s I ordered together fit just right.

I desperately needed new athletic shoes and had ordered a few other styles and just didn’t find them comfortable or even cute in person. I randomly found these and decided very quickly to order them in “brown” as most of my wardrobe is neutral colors. They delivered via Amazon and I was kind of shocked that a $90 pair of shoes showed up flopping around in a giant, nameless box with zero packing materials. I guess that means less waste that I have to dispose of but it almost felt like they were a return. There weren’t even any sort of tags on them either. They looked clean and unworn so it is what it is. The shoes are comfortable and lightweight. They’re a nice neutral color and will help minimize my fears of staining them accidentally. Hoping to get lots of wear out of these!

Cute style but did not fit my fussy feet.

First bought these in my usual size then had to exchange for 1/2 size larger. The toe box is a wee bit narrow. The shoes seem well made. Very much a classic “Dad” sneaker. They’re a bit stiff and heavy- I’m used to ASICS gel sneakers. Wearing them and hoping they’ll break in. Usually if my shoes don’t feel great right from the get go, I don’t keep them.
So the jury is still out since I’ve only worn them twice.
