Im so disappointed in New Balance. I wore these so I can’t return them so another expensive mistake. The toe box is slightly wider than the v2 but not much. After walking in them for a while my feet hurt and the shoe just doesn’t fit the foot quite right. I compared the bottom of the shoe to my original 928 and found it to be much narrower. I guess to get it to fit I will have to buy the wide where the D fit before. If that doesn’t do the trick I guess I’m going to have to say good bye to New Balance. They have cost me too much money to sit and be unusable!

I love the New Balance 928 Rollbars old and new..only order the all leather..so they keep their shape longer and I get at least six months out of one pair wearing them 24 seven . I stoppd ordering the women’s because they seem to be not good fit for my wide feet..so since I went to a men’s shoes size 7 1/2 I always wore an 8-81/2 in the women’s.. I haven’t had that problem . my life would not be the same without the shoes I pray they keep them coming . The new v3 is a tad narrower tha the v 2… but they eventually stretch so I’m not going to complain I love the room he toe area that’s why I was attracted to the shoe to begin with I have wide flat feet and as far as I’m concerned this is the best shoe for that.
I normally order two pair of the time this last time I ordered the brown and I’m glad I did I sure do not show dirt like the white ones do.. but I still love the white ones especially when their name I keep them for the gym I’ve got about four pair that I use for yardwork that’s where they end up after a six month mark they go into yard shoes .
when I first started wearing new balance rollbars probably 15 years ago they lasted a year one pair lasted a year now I wear two pairs a year so that goes to show that they have declined in quality but I’m not going to complain because the shoe still is a great shoe…!!!…and for the price I don’t mind well you have to have a good shoe if you’re going to walk.. and be on your feet all day long and half the night I love the new balance rollbars please don’t ever stop making them I noticed a lot of the newer styles or not all leather please do not discontinue the all leather shoe it is the best !

Possibly the worst fitting shoe from NB that I have ever tried. I need 8.5 6E width. Width was good – in the toe, but the right shoe pinched at the arch, and the left shoe pinched at the heel. Also the shoe was much longer than any other 8.5 shoe in my closet.

My orthopedist says I may wear only New Balance 928 for the health of my feet (almost all shoes hurt my feet, even these). I’ve tried to embrace my disability and wear the horrible, heavy, hot black leather brick of a shoe. I am slightly happier with the cooler white mesh – unfortunately the white screams “tourist! disabled tourist!” everywhere I go. WHY can’t they make black mesh? I saw the grey and thought, okay these might make me look normal.And they would, but they are heavy, hot, and the sizing is completely off – the toe box has been shrunken. You probably won’t use this review, but I don’t care. I’m so sick of ordering shoes and returning them as you, Zappos, know. And I thank you for you endless patience with my shopping problems.

shoe support excellent, unfortunately shoe tongue did not extend above top shoestring holes. I always use the very top holes for additional support and due to the tongue not extending above the shoe strings “cut” into my instep. I actually called New Balance and explained situation and they apologized and agreed that the design was different that all there other similar styles. i have purchased New Balance for approximately 30 years and never had this issue come up.

I have worn other 928 models in the past. The new 928v3 sole had less traction than the previous model that I was using. It caused me to slip and fall. I won’t use this product again.

They were stiff and heavy. I did not feel like I would be able to work in them all day comfortably. I’m a great fan of New Balance and it’s mostly what I wear but these were completely different so I returned them.

The shoes that I ordered were too narrow. As I have been wearing the same size for years, and as I had my size confirmed recently with the Brannock Device (an international standard for determining shoe size in the footwear industry), I wonder why these were too narrow.

This is the third generation of this model of shoe for me. I have owned some pairs of each iteration. I ordered and received a black and a brown pair of this shoe. The first pair (some years ago) were fantastic. Since then, every pair has been less comfortable, ill fitting in some fashion and of lesser quality materials and construction. I am now searching for a brand of shoes other than New Balance. Our marriage is irrevocably deteriorated beyond saving.

These are comfortable and good looking shoes. My only issue was with the size. I typically wear a US 10 1/2, but I had to return the first set as too large. When I tried the 10, they fit well. However, they are marked as a 10 US, 44 Euro, 28 cm. According to the Zappos chart, these latter two are closer to a 101/2-11 US, which would be about right for me. Thus, if you use US sizing when ordering these shoes, I suggest that you try a 1/2 size smaller for your first attempt or go with the European measures, which seem more accurate. Outside of having to return the first pair, I have no qualms with these shoes.

This model is supposed to be widest last that New Balance makes but it is not cut full in the width, even with a 4EE size.

The New Balance MW928v3 lacks arch support. Feels like I’m walking flat-footed! I would have returned them but Zappo policy disallows return of shoes after they’ve been worn and I left the house for shopping after putting them on for the first time and had nothing to change into. Woe is me! Problem isn’t with Zappos, but with New Balance for dropping their standards. This is the second pair of NB shoes to disappoint me in the last year. The quality and comfort is no longer there!

Ok, I’ve read some of the other reviews, white makes someone feel like a vulnerable tourist, …feels like bricks-but I must disagree strongly. While not the best looking shoe, my orthotic maker, who is also a shoemaker super highly recommended these shoes and the New Balance 1540. These 928 work much better for me! I have a full orthotic and keep the insole that comes with the shoe underneath so I purchase a EE wide shoe though I have a regular D width foot. Works great-I have brown, black, white and the grey suede and wear these for work exclusively. So-no points for being a stylish stud but I’m a comfortable guy who’s not in pain after 2 knee replacements and 2 hip replacements so I’m a happy camper!!

I’ve been wearing the 6E width of the 928v3 or its previous versions for more than 10 years. Before wearing the 928v3, a neuroma (inflamed nerve) at the base of two toes had been so bad that after playing tennis, I was walking on hot sidewalks in my bare feet. I couldn’t wear my previous shoes because of the narrow width sizing. I threw out all my shoes and switched to the 928v3. Switching to the 928v3, along with new orthotics and physical therapy has given me total long-term control and comfort. In addition to the comfort and roominess with the fantastic width sizing, the 928v3 style allows it to be worn for either (fitness) walking or even formal occasions, all day long.

I have purchased new balance shoes for years while working at my job which required hours on my feet. They have always been comfortable and held up well. Now I volunteer at a hospital and wear white shoes i’ve purchased two pairs of new balance shoes one pair is a spare. now that the first pair has wore out, after one hour of wearing the second pair the side crumbled into pieces very disappointing never had that happen before. They have been in the box for a while but didn’t expect the shoes to crumble from under me. No more buying in advance New balance is still a good fitting shoe.

Have suffered from foot pain due to arthritis, plantar facitis and other problems. Wear custom orthotics and have worn hiking shoes most of the time because they were best suited to the orthotics. New Balance has eliminated the need for any other shoe. The comfort is unbelievable and my feet haven’t felt so good in many years.

I have a bad leg as a result of an accident and I cannot walk without a brace. The shoes I buy from NB are the only ones available that are large
enough and strong enough to anchor the brace. Without them I would be in a wheel chair.

The 928v3 have been my go to daily shoes for several years. They have a good fit even with orthotic inserts. I find them comfortable walking around town for 5 – 6 miles and my feet feel great. I can wear the black shade to the office on casual days and they look more dressy than typical sneakers. Two thumbs up! Excellent shoe!
