These are super-comfy. I have a wide foot, and this shoe has a nice, wide toe box. Very happy with this purchase, and likely will purchase again when the time comes.

Toe box is bigger than anything I have worn before. Almost always shop New Balance. . Very good support. Needed a very neutral, rigid shoe. This, combined with custom insert orthodics, helps to keep pain from plantar fasciitis at bay. Wish they had more colors.

Let me first start by saying – I’ve spent my whole life barefoot or in clogs, so I reckon my feet have grown wider over the years. Manufacturers have different ideas on Widths and I still haven’t quiet got mine figured out . . . 2E I think. When first trying them on I was a little apprehensive . Will the width be correct ? The material around the front of the laces seemed flimsy. Looks breathable but flimsy. There was no snugness. But the size was correct to what I normally wear. These are labeled as “Walking Shoes”. Never owned a pair. Regular tennis shoes or running shoes but never “Walking Shoes”. So figured if front of feet and toes are comfortable and not squeezed to prepare for a sport, maybe that’s what walking shoes are all about ! So “what the heck, give’m a try”. WOW !!! My feet never had it this good. Size and width were dead-on ! No pinching at the toes, heel is snug and front of feet cool as a cucumber. No cast-off to one side or other, just perfect ! I could stand all day in these. I spend 12 to 14 hours a day standing so these are just what the doc ordered ! Always been a fan of New Balance’s fit and style, so wasn’t disappointed there. Flimsy fabric breathes nicely ! Absolutely going to splurge for a second pair ! May sleep in them tonight – who knows !!

I bought these shoes in men’s size 15 6E. These have a Very generous “toe box” (even when compared to other New Balance 6E shoe models: 1540v3 & 990) for my ‘flipper shaped’ feet. And my heel does not slip in these shoes either.
If you have a wide toe area with a, comparatively, narrow heel/Achilles tendon area, get these New Balance 847s.

Amazingly comfortable! The softness of the materials and the extra height inside the shoe gave you room to work with. Your feet sits comfortably in its embrace. The opening was just big enough so the it can be tightened. It kept your feet inside the shoes without the feel of flip/flop that comes with other wide shoes. So far in my diabetic life, this is one of the best shoes I have owned.

This shoe was OK, but it was very wide in the toe area. There wasn’t any support from the toes to the arch? The front of my foot would move around in the shoe. This was just walking around in my house, I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to jog or run . I did love the look and color.

This is a great shoe. I wear a 13 4E and it’s very roomy and comfortable. I am on my feet for 7-8 hours a day walking around and they are exactly what I needed.

Typical excellent NB quality and fit. I am 70 with weak arches. Stiff sole shoes hurt to ware. These are too stiff for me but ok for healthy feet. If your looking for a soft sole NB I have an original pair of 2018 made model 880’s. If you find them in your size try them. The original 880’s had a thinner, softer sole. Light grey cloth with lime green insoles.

I had these for just about a year. Wore them once a week, or less. The material blew out as you can see in the attached picture. As you can also see in the other attached picture, the bottoms are hardly worn. The lack of durability for those shoes is appalling. They look OK (sort of), but they don’t last. Don’t bother…there are better options out there.

This is my 4th pair, I prefer shoes that remain consistent over time, then just a few key strokes at Zappos and I get a new pair the next day. Just wished shoes lasted more than 6 months, current inflationary situation makes everything seem expensive. I would not recommend these shoes for style, but for comfort. Walking not running comfort.

Good quality workmanship, but significantly shorter than all of my past 14N New Balance purchases. New Balance has been my “go to” shoe in the past based on the quality control and available sizes – I hope this lack of quality control and size does not represent a trend. The shoes will be returned.

Nice everyday shoe. Wide fit/toe box. Foot sits deep in shoe. Rollbar gives medial support. The tounge needs to be longer. Could use more cushion in heel. A leather version would be nice for winter. Overall a good everyday shoe.
